Our Veterinary Care Assistants


We are a caring, friendly and approachable team committed to delivering excellent customer and patient care. All staff members are fully trained in their roles and undergo regular CPD (continued professional development) to keep their knowledge and skills up to date.

Meet our Veterinary Care Team

Shona

Veterinary Care Assistant

Shona joined our team in August 2018 after completing her Level 2 Diploma as a Veterinary Care Assistant. Shona has a wealth of experience in the animal care industry as she also holds an Extended Diploma in Animal Management and a qualification in horse care.

Outside of work Shona has a handsome British Short hair cat called George. She loves spending with her friends and family, and walking across Cannock Chase.


Lillie

Veterinary Care Assistant

Lillie joined our VCA team in 2022 after studying Animal Care and Management at college. She works hard behind the scenes on the wards caring for our in-patients. Lillie has a passion for animals and when not at our practice she runs her own dog grooming business. Lillie has a Cockerpoo called Elmo, a ginger cat called Leo and a tabby cat called Archie.


Remi

Veterinary Care Assistant

Remi completed her Veterinary Care Assistant course with us in March 2022 and is now training to become a qualified nurse. Remi is passionate about looking after and caring for animals.

She has two dogs, George and Nala, two guinea pigs, Fudge and Caramel, and a bearded dragon named Bert.


Freya

Veterinary Care Assistant

Freya joined our VCA team in 2024. She is a dedicated animal health enthusiast with a particular passion for the well-being of the smaller furry companions. Owning 15 pet rats and 5 rabbits of her own, she dedicates much of her time outside of work to researching the latest developments in small pet care.


Marni

Veterinary Care Assistant

Marni is currently studying to become a qualified Veterinary Care Assistant. In the future she would love to go on to become a qualified veterinary nurse. Marni loves all aspects of veterinary work but in particular likes assisting in theatre.

At home she enjoys spending time with Zeus the bulldog, Winnie and Mavis her cats, and Peanut and Lady her guinea pigs. In her spare time she enjoys long walks and reading a good book.
